Maria Miller, founded KMALCO Group in 2007, and has been engaging in the conversation on behalf of her clients for nearly 20 years witnessing first-hand the evolution of the media landscape.
Prior to starting her own firm, she worked at multiple advertising agencies and started her career as a lifestyle reporter. While working for a number of noteworthy advertising and PR agencies, Maria possesses a keen attention to detail, powerful storytelling abilities and strong interpersonal skills (she can make even the crankiest editors laugh). Her work has generated numerous awards from the Public Relations Society of America and helped clients across the United States achieve their business objectives. From facilitating interviews with the Wall Street Journal to media training spokespeople for segments on Colorado’s local network affiliates, Maria is a pro at expertly navigating the media. Highly sought after for her expert media relations counsel, Maria works with every client to develop media strategies that generate ROI. In addition, her clients look to her as an extension of their team seeking her unique counsel in expert positioning, spokesperson training, community relations, internal communications, event planning, social media, and content creation. Maria earned her bachelor’s degree in both Spanish and Journalism from Indiana University, Bloomington. She is married, with two grown children and resides in Denver, Colo.
